The initiative, organised by the municipality, aims to highlight the importance of respecting and understanding different cultures. Over two days, the program includes exhibitions, workshops, and interactive activities designed for all ages.
The event opens on 13 April in the morning, followed by the inauguration of several exhibitions that explore themes such as cultural identity, diversity, and shared stories. Visitors will also be able to watch a videocast titled “Voices of Our Culture,” which offers space for diverse cultural perspectives.
In the afternoon, a workshop focused on intercultural challenges will take place, aimed at invited professionals working in the field.
On 14 April, the program becomes more hands-on. The day starts with an intercultural cooking session, where participants can discover dishes from around the world, followed by a tasting. Later, there will be world dance performances and a public yoga session.
The activities will take place at the Convento de S. José Cultural Centre and are open to the community. With this event, the municipality hopes to encourage inclusion and create a space where people can learn from one another in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
