“The Town Hall was already small and, with increased responsibilities and staff, our services ended up scattered in rented spaces. The idea is to centralise them in this new building,” Ricardo Pinteus told the Lusa news agency.

The mayor added that the goal is also to “provide better conditions for the administrative support staff of the Urban Services, who occupied a cramped space in the Adiafas Pavilion.”

The new facilities will house the Public Works, Environment, Public Procurement, and administrative support services of the Environment and Sustainability Division, with approximately 35 employees.

The Municipal Services Building is located in the Urban Services Park and, in addition to offices and a service area, has a training room.

The inauguration, which highlights the municipality's commitment to improving public services, is part of the 25 April celebrations in this Lisbon district. These celebrations include various activities on the 24th and 25th, such as dance and music performances, a thematic Municipal Assembly, an athletics event, and a public lunch, making the event a significant communal milestone.
