The study, which analysed, among other parameters, the offer of children's entertainment, such as theme parks, ice cream shops, play areas and swimming pools; the variety of activities suitable for any age; the availability of family-friendly accommodations and the weather conditions during the summer, concluded that Lisbon and Porto are perfect destinations for families.

The TUI Musement survey questioned families about their decisions when organising family parties. Among the most popular plans, theme parks stand out, followed by boat trips and outdoor activities.

Lisbon

Lisbon leads the ranking, with 9.16 points out of 10. The city has 17 parks and 37 family-friendly hotels per 10 km2. In addition to accommodation options, Lisbon received a score of 7.36 out of 10 for children's entertainment, demonstrating a wide range of options, from leisure areas to ice cream shops.

Porto

The city of Porto ranks third in the ranking, with a score of 9.01 out of 10. The Invicta (Porto) has 13 parks and 32 family hotels per 10 km². As a family, you can stroll along the river and enjoy the city's green spaces, which are not far from Matosinhos beach.

International destinations

Among the top 5 family holiday destinations, Naples, Italy, ranks second, between Lisbon and Porto. Also in Italy, Catania ranks fourth, followed by Barcelona, Spain.
