The team from The Portugal News was proud to attend and support the EU Open House 2026 at the Embassy of Portugal in Washington, DC, as an official media partner, joining thousands of visitors in celebrating Europe Day and Portuguese culture in the United States.

Throughout the day, more than 2,000 guests visited the Embassy of Portugal, where they were warmly welcomed by Chefe Admissão Adjunto Pedro Carneiro. Visitors had the opportunity to experience Portuguese traditions, culture, hospitality and community spirit in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that highlighted the strong ties between Portugal, the European Union and the United States.

The Portugal News team was present to engage with attendees, distribute special editions of the newspaper and promote Portugal to an international audience. The event also featured a stunning exhibition of works by artist Michael de Brito, whose paintings attracted significant interest and admiration from guests throughout the day.
