From 05 to 07 June 2026, the Algarve 7s Sports Festival returns for its 7th edition, bringing together more than 2,500 athletes and over 150 teams for a weekend that blends sport, beach lifestyle, beach parties and entertainment across Vila Real de Santo António, Monte Gordo and Castro Marim.

Now firmly established on the international sports calendar, Algarve 7s continues to grow year after year. The event combines high-performance sport with inclusive competition in a vibrant coastal setting. The 2026 edition will be the biggest yet.

New in 2026: Lacrosse Sixes

One of the key highlights of this year’s edition is the introduction of the Lacrosse tournament.

For the first time, both Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse will join the Algarve 7s programme in the Sixes format, a faster version of the game designed to be dynamic and highly entertaining for spectators.

Lacrosse Sixes is a fast-growing sport, confirmed as part of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Its inclusion reinforces the event’s commitment to showcasing emerging international sports on a global stage and expanding the festival with new disciplines.

Venues across the eastern Algarve

The festival takes place across three main locations:

Monte Gordo Beach
Castro Marim Golf & Country Club

Each venue brings a different identity to the event, from elite sports facilities to beach competition and golf in a premium setting, all within a short distance along the coast.
