Among the airports operated by Vinci, those in Portugal showed a 1.2% decrease, while overall growth continued despite April being marked by the impact of the conflict in the Middle East and rising fuel prices.
However, Portuguese airports were not the only ones to show passenger growth. Countries such as the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Cape Verde and Brazil also saw growth.
In a statement quoted by ECO, Vinci Airports states that "in April, the airports in the VINCI Airports network registered mixed trends, depending on the different geographical exposures of their routes and the respective specific local contexts."
In the first four months of the year, Portuguese airports registered a 3.5% increase in passenger numbers, 0.8% above the Vinci group average.
