This latest edition of Air Invictus will take place from 19 to 21 June, bringing a packed programme of aerial displays, military aircraft exhibitions and drone performances to Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Maia and Matosinhos.

On 19 June, the festivities begin at the Vilar de Luz Aerodrome in Maia, where the Expo Air Invictus exhibitions opens at 9am, and visitors will be able to explore dozens of civilian and military aircraft, alongside a fairground area and a selection of food trucks.

From 9:30 pm at Titan Beach in Matosinhos, spectators can watch a night-time aeromodelling demonstration featuring some of Portugal’s leading pilots in what organisers describe as a high-energy precision show. A “Revenge of the 90’s” themed party follows at 10pm, before the Aerosparks team take to the skies at 11:30pm with illuminated aerobatic displays, and the evening concludes at midnight with a choreographed drone spectacle over the beach.

The festival then moves to Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia for the weekend programme, during which the main attractions will be displays of Portuguese Air Force F-16 fighter jets and Alouette III helicopters at the Gaia riverfront, open daily from 10am to 8pm. In addition, competitive aerial performances and acrobatic displays above the Douro are scheduled between 3.30pm and 7.30pm on both days, while the midnight drone show will return to the riverside region.

All events are free to attend, although premium VIP experiences are also available for those wanting exclusive viewing areas in restaurants and hotels overlooking the river, with food included. Most packages have already sold out, with the exception of the Bite Rooftop experience, priced at €180, which offers a premium barbecue lounge beside the Dom Pedro I Bridge.
