Quinta Ecológica da Moita is a nature-based project created in 2003 with a clear mission: “Learn, Live, and Care for Nature.” It brings together environmental conservation, education, volunteering, and activities that support health and well-being in natural settings. Supported by a partnership between Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Aveiro and Associação BioLiving, the project stands out for its social and environmental impact.
Located just outside Aveiro, Quinta Ecológica da Moita covers approximately 15 hectares. Its landscape combines forest, wetlands, and agroforestry areas, creating a rich ecological mosaic. This variety of habitats makes the site valuable not only for biodiversity but also for environmental learning and outdoor experiences.
Visitors and participants can engage with the space through educational actions, volunteering initiatives, and well-being activities that encourage a deeper relationship with the environment. In this sense, the Quinta works as more than a green area: it is a living space for awareness, care, and community involvement.
