According to the INE, the year-on-year increase of 16.5% in the median value of bank valuations - carried out within the scope of loan applications for housing acquisition - was identical to that recorded in March, while the chain variation was 1.1% (+€23).

The Autonomous Region of the Azores showed the most significant increase compared to the previous month (4.1%), with no decrease.

Compared with April 2025, the most pronounced variation was on the Setúbal Peninsula (24.0%), with no reduction.

To determine the median bank appraisal value for April 2026, 34,483 appraisals were considered (21,518 apartments and 12,965 houses), which is 3.6% fewer than in the same period last year. Compared to March, there were 1,644 more bank appraisals, which corresponds to an increase of 5.0%.
