This annual event begins on Friday, 29 May, in Ponte de Lima, where visitors can explore 11 temporary gardens created by architects, designers and artists from across the globe. Running until Sunday, 31 May, this year’s edition is centred on the theme “Dream Gardens”.

Fist launched in 2025, the festival has become one of Portugal’s best-known landscape art events, transforming the riverside setting into a showcase of experimental garden design and creative storytelling.

Among the featured installations are “Fragments of Dreams” from Austria, “Tilandsias Oníricas” by teams from Brazil and Portugal, Romania’s “Dreamline”, and “The Tic Toc – An Imaginary Journey Through the Temple”, developed by artists from Ireland, Portugal and the United Kingdom.

Other highlights include “Sponge Garden – Smart Permeable Oasis Nurturing Green”, a collaborative project involving creators from Brazil, Portugal, the UK and Turkey, as well as “Refúgio Vivo” from Portugal, “The Veil of Moura” from Romania, Colombia’s “Espacio Onírico”, Chile’s “Jardín Espejos del Cielo/Memorias Andinas”, and “Counting Sheep”, a multinational concept involving Austria, Poland, China and Sweden. Meanwhile, Spain is represented with “Sueños Afrutados”.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 pm on 29 May.

Visitors will also have the chance to revisit “La Paix entre l’Homme et la Nature”, the French-designed garden voted the public’s favourite at the 2025 edition of the festival. As in previous years, attendees will be invited to vote for their preferred installation during the event.

Admission is free for children up to the age of 12, while adult tickets cost €1 and can be purchased on site.
