The 13th Portimão City Rally – Encivil took place on 23 and 24 May 2026, sparking great motorsport excitement in the south of the country. The event, part of the Southern Rally Championship (CSR), opened with a competitive urban Night Super Special on Saturday, then challenged drivers on Sunday with demanding stages in Rasmalho and Montes de Cima, where the final podium emerged.
After retiring in the previous round in Serpa, Carlos Martins and Daniel Amaral, driving a Ford Fiesta R5, made an authoritative return to victory. On Saturday night, Martins did not win the stage but rebounded on Sunday by claiming six consecutive stage wins, ultimately crossing the finish line with a 1m11.5s margin over the returning Márcio Marreiros (Skoda Fabia R5), who secured second overall.
Luís Nunes, also returning, claimed the final podium spot in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI. Fernando Teotónio (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX), his key rival, chased him closely and battled him throughout the day.
Though Teotónio finished the rally in fourth place overall, he still earned points for third in the championship, narrowly losing to Nunes after their intense duel.
In the two-wheel drive (2WD) category, Carlos Rafael Marreiros delivered a dominant performance with his Renault Clio Rally5, imposing a lead of over 1m43s over Viana Martins (Peugeot 208 R2). Completing the podium, Bruno Carvalho took the Citroën Saxo S1600 to third place and ended a weekend full of adrenaline in the Algarve on a high note.
