The second edition of this event brings together healthcare professionals from the fields of intensive care medicine, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, anaesthesiology, neurorehabilitation and other related disciplines, fostering discussion of current topics based on the best available scientific evidence. The conference aims to consolidate its role as a leading platform for continuing education in neurocritical care in Portugal, providing an environment for scientific reflection, the sharing of clinical experience, practical workshops and the discussion of clinical cases.

The scientific programme includes lectures, workshops and interactive discussion sessions, covering areas such as:

- Advanced neurological monitoring;

- Management of traumatic brain injury;

- Management of subarachnoid haemorrhage;

- Intracranial pressure control and neuroprotection;

- Nursing care for the neurocritical patient;

- Transcranial Doppler ultrasound;

- Ethics and decision-making in the care of neurocritical patients;

- Rehabilitation of the neurocritical patient.
