Tyler was rushed into surgery in May after suffering a bowel perforation. While the operation itself was successful, complications during her recovery led doctors to place her in an induced coma. Her team has now confirmed that she is awake, although her health remains fragile and her recovery is expected to take time.

In a statement cited by Euronews, Tyler's representatives said her condition is improving gradually and that doctors remain optimistic about her long-term recovery. However, all of her scheduled performances until the end of August have been cancelled or postponed as she continues treatment.

Best known for hits such as "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out for a Hero", Tyler has long divided her time between the UK and the Algarve, where she owns a home.
