The "Beach Transport" service is available until September, and those interested in using this free service to the main river beaches and bathing areas of the municipality must register at the Proença-a-Nova Tourist Office the day before the trip.

"The schedule includes trips to Aldeia Ruiva, Fróia, Alvito da Beira, Cerejeira, Malhadal, Pedra do Altar and São Pedro do Esteval, with trips distributed between June and September."

The transport will only take place with a minimum of six participants, and for those under 18 years of age, it is mandatory to present a declaration from their guardians or be accompanied by a guardian.

According to information provided by the City Council, trips to river beaches and bathing areas are offered in three different ways: morning, afternoon, or full day, allowing each participant to choose the most suitable time.

“For those who choose to go in the morning, departure will be at 9:15 am and return at 3 pm. For those who prefer the afternoon, departure is at 2:15 pm and return at 6:30 pm, and those who spend the whole day will leave at 9 am and return at 6:30 pm.”

The city hall reminds that the bathing areas of Alvito da Beira and Cerejeira do not have lifeguards and appeals to users to take extra care while staying in those locations.
