The event will once again take place in Praça D. Sancho II (near the Aqueduct), in Elvas, bringing together a wide range of stallholders offering an eclectic selection of goods. Visitors will be able to browse and purchase homemade preserves, decorative items, clothing, footwear, films, books and many other collectables.

The fair is organised to raise funds for the maintenance and preservation of the British Cemetery and the Chapel of São João da Corujeira, in Elvas, the final resting place of British soldiers who lost their lives during the Peninsular War in the early nineteenth century while fighting against Napoleon's invading armies in Portugal and Spain.

The Association, currently chaired by Celia Denney, organises a number of fundraising events throughout the year to support the upkeep and conservation of this important historical site, which remains a lasting symbol of the long-standing friendship between Portugal and the United Kingdom.
