Quinta do Covelo (often called Parque do Covelo) is a large urban park in Porto, about 8 hectares, known for its huge trees, big grasslands and fountains. It is a popular place for outdoor sports, walking, reflection and picnics, and it also hosts a children’s playground and a dog park.

The park lies on Rua do Bolama in Porto, and was originally the Quinta de Paranhos, bought in the 20th century by the merchant José do Covelo, who gave it the name Quinta do Covelo. It was later donated to the city and the Ministry of Health, and the city now manages the whole space as a public park.

The park was restored in 1987 based on a project by architect Castro Calapes, and the children’s playground, inaugurated in May 2009, was designed by architect Célia Peralta.
