This is in addition to the production of 100 Portuguese companies willing to produce material necessary to fight the covid-19 pandemic.
This will be followed by a further 1.8 million masks by the end of May.
Latest figures show there are now 246 coronavirus deaths and almost 10,000 cases of infection in Portugal.

This is wonderful news because the more masks the better in this pandemic, but I am wondering where they will be available from? I am assuming that with that high number they will be masks for the general public as well as for frontline workers?

It’s about time we bring back manufacturing jobs home! This whole Chinese experiment in them manufacturing 49% of the world goods seems like a bad idea!
