A hot weekend in Portugal

This weekend is set to be warm across the country, with the highest temperatures in the south and central regions.

Lisbon: It will be feeling cooler in the capital over the weekend with moderate cloud cover on both Saturday and Sunday and average highs of 30 degrees and lows of 19 degrees. On Monday the cloud cover is to increase. For the rest of the week temperatures are to average highs of 29 degrees.

The centre: High temperatures continue this weekend with thermometers reaching highs of 34 degrees and nightly lows of 17 degrees. From Monday the temperatures are to drop although the skies will remain clear. For the rest of the week temperatures are to average highs of 30 degrees.

The north: The clouds are to clear slightly over the weekend in the north and it will be feeling slightly warmer with average daily highs of 23 degrees and lows of 15 degrees. From Monday the temperatures are to drop slightly to average highs of 21 degrees and nightly lows of 14 degrees.

The south: The hottest day of the weekend in the south is set to be Sunday when temperatures are to peak at 33 degrees with nightly lows of 23 degrees. The temperatures are to drop from Monday for the remainder of the week to average highs of 30 degrees and lows of 20 degrees.
