The restaurant is now offering a take away service and will also resume its normal business welcoming customers from 19 May.
The return of the authentic beer garden will take place across two phases, with the launch of the take-away project which began on 12 May, which is here to stay. The Take Away menu includes a series of specially selected best sellers, such as the Austrian Schnitzel with potato salad, the acclaimed knuckle of port with cabbage salad, the irresistible Herren Goulash with bread balls or the comforting Schupfnudeln pasta with grilled vegetables. The main courses can be complemented by a soup of the day or the famous Brezel, amongst other choices.
Orders can be placed from Tuesdays to Sundays (closed from 3pm on Sunday and all day Monday), between 9 and 11am for lunch, and until 6pm for dinner, by phone at 282 381 177 and paid by credit card. The pick-up can be made at the restaurant between 11am and 7pm on the same day. For larger groups of 8 or more, 24-hour advance orders are required, by email at biergarten@vilavitaparc.com
From 19 May, the restaurant will reopen to the public with business “as usual”, naturally subject to stringent measures of hygiene and safety as established by the AHRESP (Hotels and Restaurants Association in Portugal), in order to maintain the highest standards of health and quality.
The Vila Vita Metzgerei (Butcher) next door to the restaurant remains open with the same hours, and clients can order and pick up meat cuts, sourced from the resort’s sister farm in the Alentejo, Herdade dos Grous, and transformed into German specialities and delicatessen by Master Butcher, Thomas Webber.
