In a statement, Amnesty International Portugal said it was due yesterday to meet with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michele Bachelet, to whom it would present a series of problems and recommendations.
Among the organisation’s main concerns are access to housing, excessive use of force by police, poor conditions in prisons, and cases of racism or gender violence.
