Angola’s flag carrier TAAG has been removed from the European Union (EU) blacklist and will now be able to fly without restrictions in the European airspace for the first time in over a decade.

The EU Air Safety List is a list of air carriers from non-EU countries which do not fulfil the required internati-onal safety standards.

TAAG Angola Airlines had been on the list since 2007, but the decision was made to release them based on the unanimous opinion of aviation safety experts from member states who met within the EU Air Safety Committee.
