Antidepressant use skyrockets in Portugal

The use of antidepressants skyrocketed in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

Portugal is currently the fifth OECD country with the highest consumption of antidepressants, with the country's consumption having tripled between 2000 and 2017.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development 2019 health sector report released today shows a widespread increase in antidepressant use in the approximately 30 countries surveyed.


Just a sign that points to the reality of life here: a nice place to live...if you're not a national.
