This figure represents a deceleration in year-on-year terms, with the rate of change slowing from 8.3 percent in June to 8.0 percent in July.

The number of bank assessments, according to the INE, rose to around 20,000 in July 2020, 15.9 percent less than in the same period of the previous year.

The largest increase over the previous month was registered in the North (1.4 percent) and the largest reduction was observed in Alentejo (-3.5 percent).

In comparison with the same period of the previous year, the median value of the valuations grew 8 percent, registering the most intense variation in the North (10.4 percent) and the smallest in the Alentejo (2.2 percent).
