The Social Unemployment Benefit (granted to those who do not meet the conditions to receive Unemployment Benefit) covered 10,700 people, a 92.4 percent increase compared to the same month and a 1.7 percent decrease compared to the month previous.

“By age and compared to September 2019, there are still increases in benefits processed in all age groups, with the youngest groups standing out: the group of 24 years old or less (144.7 percent), between 25 years old and 34 years old (78.0 percent), between 35 and 44 years old (35.6 percent), and between 45 and 54 years old (28.8 percent) ”reads in the summary prepared by the Strategy and Planning(GEP) of the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security.

According to data released by the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), the number of registered unemployed increased 36.1 percent in September comparing to 2019 and 0.2 percent compared to August, to 410,174.
