Nearly 100 exhibitors, including The Portugal News, will be available to talk to visitors about their products and services – all with the aim of providing residents and property owners with the means to enjoy the best possible lifestyle in Portugal.

There will be many past exhibitors returning with their latest products and services for the home and garden, insurance, financial, currency and legal services plus health provision. Funeral arrangements, security, pet care, property services, fashion, shopping, food and drink and golf are all represented. The Algarve Tourism Board will be presenting its 365 Algarve programme for the winter period, as well as speaking to visitors about tourism in the region generally and the Portimão Tourism Board and the Monchique Municipality will have details of what is on offer in their respective areas.

The Bombeiros at BLiP this year will have information about “How to call emergency service”, which will include a practice point that allows BLiP visitors to make a telephone call and simulate a distress call to the national emergency number – 112. They will also give instruction in Life Support, entitled “How to save a life”, and will also give demonstrations on the public defibrillators, which are already installed in some towns across the region. Anyone who is then interested in attending the 8 hour training course to operate public defibrillators will be able to sign up for it and book at a future venue.

For those with British connections the British Vice Consulate will be available to answer questions. The Portugal News team will also be at the exhibition, making this the ideal time to come and meet the team and pick up a copy of the latest newspaper.

A new feature for BLiP this year is a dedicated ‘Community’ stand. This will give smaller charity workers and fund raisers the opportunity to show the charity they raise funds for, not only to collect donations over the BLiP weekend – but also to encourage others who may be looking for a good cause to support. If you’re someone who wants to get involved but don’t know how to start or where the opportunities are, BLiP Expo could be a very good place for you to look into the opportunities.
