The Portuguese Business Confederation has expressed “utmost concern” over the delay in negotiating an agreement on future relations between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

In a statement, the confederation called on both sides for the political will to agree. The bosses union recalled that in a 2018 study it conducted, it found Brexit would have a negative effect of 15% on Portuguese exports to the UK, but that potential losses could reach 26%, in a more negative scenario where there is no deal.
