Call for A22 tolls to be scrapped during work on Guadiana Bridge

Castro Marim council has said it wants tolls scrapped on the A22 motorway while renovation work is ongoing on the Guadiana International Bridge.

Work on the bridge started in June 2017, and should have ended in November 2018 but still has more than a year to go.

Castro Marim council says the constraints are having a negative impact on tourism and therefore the motorway tolls should be suspended.
