The balloons, which in the Algarve were taking part in the Rubis Gás UP Festival, between Morgado do Reguengo (Portimão) and Odiáxere, stopped off in Lagos, Portimão and Albufeira.
A display due to take place at the Faro sports track on Friday night had to be cancelled due to the rain.
Among the many original hot air balloons were a 44-metre motorbike from Holland, an ice cream from Germany, a German shepherd dog, and a doll.
The fascinating medley of balloons this week then moved northwards to the
small village of Coruche, in Setúbal, a short drive from Lisbon, where they will be based until Sunday for the II Coruche International Balloon Festival.
Running from 31 October to 4 November, the programme for the II Coruche International Balloon Festival includes free flights, static balloons, traditional gastronomy, various entertainment activities, shows, crafts, local products, among others.
