When the tournament was suspended in March, the first two matchdays of the eight groups had already been completed, leaving each side with four more games to play in their quest to reach the last 16.

The round of 16, like the quarter-finals, will be played over two legs before the end of the year. The semi-finals, also a two-legged affair, and the final will be played in January 2021, with the decider a one-off match at Rio de Janeiro’s Estadio Maracana.

Among those in action are five former champions: Colo Colo and Penarol, Santos and Olimpia and Liga Deportiva Universitaria.
