In the presentation of the National Plan for Integrated Management of Rural Fires, published on 16 June in Diário da República, Eduardo Cabrita stated that there are more means, more professionals and that the various components of the system are better connected.
His colleague from the Environment, João Pedro Matos Fernandes, admitted that the pandemic disrupted the initial plans and that the action programmes that will complete the plan should only be approved next fall to be in force from the beginning of next year.
Nothing has been done about eucalyptus trees 20 metres from my house, after many visits from the GNR . Also the road is getting narrower by the day with overgrowth what ever happened to the 10 metre rule ?

Hopefully we all be here to see! After Pedrogão Grande fire inferno of 2017 it appears that most preventative recommendations were not implemented by a Government that 3 years after apparently completely forgot that terrible nighmare and its deadly impact on the most vulnerable!
