Cristiano tests positive again for Covid

Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out of a potential match-up against long-time rival Lionel Messi after once again testing positive for the coronavirus.

The Juventus star had tested positive two weeks ago while on international duty for Portugal and has missed three matches since and will now miss a fourth in tonight’s showpiece game against Barcelona. Ronaldo has been asymptomatic and shown no external signs of Covid, but UEFA regulations state a player has to test negative at least 24 hours before taking to the field.
