The third death, according to DGS, occurred in the Central Region. The first two deaths had been recorded in the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo.

Data from the epidemiological bulletin released today, with data up to midnight on Wednesday and updated at 11:00 am today, indicate that there are 143 more confirmed cases of Covid-19 than on Wednesday.

The number of suspected cases in Portugal has risen to 6,061 (up from 5,067 on 18 March).

By region in Portugal there are 381 confirmed cases in the north, 86 in the centre, 278 in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 25 in the Algarve, 3 in the Azores, 2 in the Alentejo and 1 in Madeira.

Three people have so far recovered from the virus.
