The number of deaths reported at home in Portugal or which are under investigation has increased substantially.

According to figures covering March to September, deaths at home rose by 18 percent during this period, while those which have as yet not been explained were up by 24 percent. Overall, Portugal’s mortality rate increased by more than 6,000 in the past six months, with just under 2,000 attributed to Covid-19.

Unfortunately the information is not complete. People die because they are not provided with proper medical care, other than Covid-19. Covid-19 deaths should be represented with age brackets and you will see that people over 70 and 80 years old cover most cases.
