"In response to the latest developments of the past week and the weekend, EDP Comercial decided to suspend all power cuts scheduled for this week, which is a measure that should be maintained over the next few weeks", says the company in a note press release.
Since the beginning of last week, EDP comercial has also been communicating to its customers the possibility of making the deadline and method of payment of invoices more flexible, whenever this need is expressed.
"These initiatives to protect our customers are added to a wide range of other measures that had already been communicated by EDP Comercial to safeguard the health and well-being of its employees and partners", he informed.
Among these measures is the closing of 50% of stores, a reduction of about one third in the number of workers in stores, controlled access to stores, a reduction in the effective number in contact centers to about half and the strengthening of hygiene and safety measures.
Third worldly passive-aggressive sadistic approach to all things concerned in Portugal as usual. Frequent power cuts during important day hours and the and the absolute ignorance by this African-style country. Power cut just occurred at 8:30 am when we were getting up and needed to use el. power, but the power company decided they had a good night's sleep and now it was their time to torture the entire municipality with a long and powerful power cut, which lasted almost until 10 am and many people gave up and went for walks outside wearing no masks in protest. And this is so-called "western europe"!
