Gonçalo Cardozo (Boavista) headed home a corner to open the scoring, Gonçalo Ramos (Benfica) and Félix Correia (Manchester City) with two quick goals after half-time gave Portugal an unassailable lead.

18 year-old Félix Correia, yet another product of the world famous Sporting Youth Academy, has signed a five year contract with the English Premier League champions for €3.5m which could eventually yield something like €7m for the Lisbon club. The impressive young attacking right-sided player was also being tracked by Juventus and Barcelona.

Scorer of the second goal Gonçalo Ramos was born in Olhão and started his football career with SC Olhanense Youth.

Portugal continues to produce exciting young talent and the game in Italy was a re-match of the 2018 final which Portugal won 4-3 in dramatic fashion after extra-time.
