Formula 1 in the Algarve is expected to have an impact of more than 100 million euros

Bringing Formula 1 to Portugal could have a direct impact on the Algarve’s economy of more than 100 million euros, according to estimates from the administrator of the Algarve International Racetrack (AIA), Paulo Pinheiro.

This year the Algarve circuit will host the Formula World Championship (October 25) and the MotoGP World Championship (November 22). Paulo Pinheiro said the two events will be a breath of fresh air for the region's hotels and will help “minimise the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic”.

Hmm.
I respect Mr Pinheiro tenacity and I wish him well bringing Motto GP and F1 to this wonderful Race Track. To be honest I have followed the ups and downs of this circuit for many years. I was lucky enough to see the original plans for this project before the financial crash of 2008 , It may of taken longer than expected, but I for one wish them well and I hope that this is not just a one off event and that it will appear on the race calendar every year there after.
