Globe Soccer Awards - 5 Portuguese nominees

Footballers Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva and João Félix and the Portugal coach, Fernando Santos, have been nominated for the Globe Soccer Awards, the organization announced

Ronaldo (Juventus) is once again present in the category of best player of the year, which he won in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and for the first time will compete for the award with Bernardo Silva (Manchester City).

Sadio Mané, Alisson Becker, Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, all of Liverpool, and Lionel Messi, of FC Barcelona close the list of nominees.

In the revelation category of the year, Atletico Madrid's João Félix will have competition from Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Erling Haaland (Salzburg), Ansu Fati (FC Barcelona) and Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen).

After winning the award for best coach of the year in 2016, Fernando Santos appears again among the nominees and will compete for the trophy with Djamel Belmadi (Algeria), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Massimiliano Allegri and Erik ten Hag (Ajax).

Off the pitch, also highlight for the businessman Jorge Mendes, who is nominated for best agent of the year.

The winners will be announced on December 29, in the 11th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards gala, in Dubai.
