GNR arrested 17 people in Ovar for drug trafficking

On 30 July the GNR detained a group of 17 people for drug trafficking in Ovar in the district of Aveiro and seized more than 750 individual doses of drugs

In a statement, the GNR notes that the suspects were arrested on Saturday and Sunday in the parish of Esmoriz, during a special crime prevention operation, with the main objective of deterring drug trafficking and use as well as possession of prohibited weapons.

In addition to the arrests, 19 people were identified for drug use. Crime reports and counter-reports were prepared respectively.

During these actions 540 doses of MDMA (ecstasy) and 209 doses of hashish were seized.
