Next week we will publish the full schedule of the acts you can enjoy, but meanwhile here is a sneak preview of all there is to offer.
Each day offers visitors a combination of dance and music. On Saturday you can really shape up for the weekend with Stretching Classes from Vale de Oliveiras at 11am but if that’s a bit too energetic, at 12.30pm the Guinness Brothers, an Irish duo, are on the main stage.
Expect to be entertained and amused. This will be followed by the STARS dance school and then Zumba. The afternoon finishes off with Branden a singer originally born in Faro who moved to California when he was 12. Now he is back, expect a sparkling performance. His producer, David DeKoning from Amsterdam will feature on many of his songs.
On Sunday you mustn’t miss the two Diva’z, their ABBA tribute is superb, and even if you don’t want to admit it, we nearly all remember ABBA songs!
They are on the stage at 12.30pm and this will be followed by the Lewis Davis crew. Lewis Davis is a professional dancer with 16 years’ experience in London’s West End. Now he has trained 13 local kids from the Praia da Luz area, and their performance will entrance you. The afternoon on the stage finishes off with Just John, a well-known local artist who performs Country Music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Not to be missed.
Surrounding the stage area there are restaurants offering everything from Fish ‘n’ Chips to Indian dishes as well as local specialties. You will be spoilt for choice. The food is reasonably priced and really enjoyable and add to that the restaurant offering locally brewed craft beers to keep you cool and refreshed.
So choose the entertainment you would like to enjoy and settle back for a great meal and maybe some local beer. What could be better? Then you will be ready to visit some more stands and see the dog show.
The 14th International Algarve Fair is held at the FATACIL Showground in Lagoa, next weekend, 10am until 6pm on both days.
