João Sousa makes history at US Open


João Sousa has made history at the US Open, by becoming the first Portuguese tennis player to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam.

Sousa reached the final 16 at Flushing Meadows after beating Frenchman Lucas Pouille, and will face former world number one and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic for a place in the quarter-finals.

Sousa, who is currently ranked number 44 in the world, will face the Serbian in the Arthur Ashe stadium at any time from 7pm this evening Portuguese time.
