Obama’s former Secretary of State, John Kerry, will be in Lisbon to discuss climate change.

Kerry is one of the keynote speakers at “The Future of the Planet” conference, which will be hosted later this year over the weekend of 14 and 15 September.

The conference, promoted by the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation and the Oceano Azul Foundation, will take place at the Lisbon Oceanarium where talks, exhibitions, musical acts, and other events are bound to highlight the challenges posed by climate change.

In addition to John Kerry, award-winning writer and ecologist Carl Safina and National Geographic Society researcher Sylvia Earle, are among the list of over fifty speakers scheduled to attend the event.
