Around 60 percent of Portuguese would consider augmenting the human body with technology to improve their lives, mostly to improve health.

The research, commissioned by Kaspersky, surveyed 14,500 people in 16 countries, though the results varied across Europe.

While the figure was high in Portugal, in Britain, France and Switzerland, support for augmentation was low - at just 25%, 32% and 36% respectively.
