Kitesurfers rescued in Nazaré

Two kite surfers were rescued on 1 August at Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, about two kilometres from the coast, by elements of the “lifeguard station”, after an alert from the Maritime Police.

In a note from the National Maritime Authority, it is said that the two kitesurfers, a German man and a Brazilian woman, "are physically well" and were picked up by the vessel "SR31" from the "Nazaré lifeboat".

One of the kitesurfers landed "safely" on the beach, while the other stayed at the port of Nazaré, said the statement
