Lagos is launching a vaccination and electronic identification campaign for dogs. The campaign starts September 15th at the municipal kennels.

Anyone interested must make a prior appointment (call 282 780 900 or 925 525 017; 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm); the campaign entails reduced fees for such as rabies vaccinations and electronic identification / registration of dogs.

Absolutely true, David. Isn't there a Portuguese Bob Barker that can say at the end of a Portuguese game show, "Please have your pets spayed or neutered?"

It would also be sensible to sterilise all dogs in kennels. There are far too many abandoned dogs in Portugal and if no-one ever does anything about it the problem is going to get exponentially worse.
This is one culture that urgently needs change
