LVT had 77 percent of new cases reported on Sunday, 74.8 percent of total new infections reported on Saturday, 76 percent on Friday and 78 percemt on Thursday.

According to the bulletin on the epidemiological situation in Portugal released today (22 June), 164 of the new daily infections were reported in the LVT region, 63.3 percent of the cases (the lowest percentage of the last few weeks), in the North region 71 new infections, 27.4 percent of cases (the highest percentage in recent weeks), while in the Centre region there are 14 new cases, representing 5.4 percent of the total.

The Algarve recorded eight new cases, representing 3 percent, and in Alentejo, two new cases, representing 0.8 percent.

In the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores, no new cases were reported.

The four deaths reported today were recorded in the LVT region.

The North continues to be the region with the highest number of accumulated cases, in a total of 17,320, the LVT region now has a total of 16,926, the Centre 4,005, the Algarve 529 and the Alentejo 376.

Madeira continues with a cumulative total of 92 and the Azores 144.

Lisbon remains the municipality with the highest number of cases and now has a total of 3,150, 15 more than on Sunday, while Sintra has a total of 2,272 cases, 19 more than on Sunday.

Also in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Loures has 1,654 (+31), Amadora has 1,436 (+8), Odivelas with 920 (+39), Cascais with 803 (+12), Vila Franca de Xira with 652 (+6), Oeiras with 646 (+11), Almada with 548 (+10) and Seixal with 542 (+7).

The five counties in the North with the most accumulated cases did not change in numbers compared to Sunday: Vila Nova de Gaia has 1,611, Porto with 1,414, Matosinhos with 1,292 and Braga with 1,256 and Gondomar with 1,093.

The Directorate-General for Health stresses that the figures presented refer to the total of medical notifications in the SINAVE system (excluding laboratory notifications), so they may "not correspond to all cases per municipality".
