A hotel in Lisbon’s downtown Praça da Figueira had to be evacuated on Monday night, after a fire broke out seemingly on a roof cover.
Firefighters were alerted to the fire at around 5.30pm and the hotel was subsequently evacuated.

Videos posted on social media around an hour later showed flames visible at the top of the hotel, the four-star Figueira by The Beautique Hotels.
Some 28 firefighters and nine vehicles were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was extinguished by 7pm.

Four people suffered slight injuries, one man and three woman, three of whom were taken to the São José Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
