Due to the execution of the works for the creation of a “Food Court” that take place inside the Municipal Market of Loulé, the organization chose an outdoor space, in the heart of the city, in a wider area, to hold this event that, over the years, has gained numerous followers.

The 10th Chocolate Fair will feature 27 exhibitors from the municipality, the Algarve and other parts of the country, who will present creations with what is one of the most appreciated products in sweets worldwide. Black, white, milk, with dried fruits, orange or pepper, in tablet, truffles, a slice of cake, a pizza, sushi, fondue with fruits or a crepe, there are several presentations, colours and flavours that these “artisans” bring to this event but always with the same point in common: the use of chocolate as the main ingredient.

Creativity and imagination have no limits at this fair and, given the product's versatility, in addition to gastronomy, it is also intended to make known other uses of chocolate such as its tourist potential, using it in conjunction with other products locations.

This edition of the Loulé Market Chocolate Fair will feature musical moments starring students at the Loulé Music Conservatory Francisco Rosado, Banda Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva, among others. For the first time, a social space will also be created, with tables and chairs, where visitors will be able to calmly enjoy the chocolate delights that the exhibitors will sell.

This year there will be a greater concern with environmental issues at this event, so a campaign to reduce plastic will be underway, with the use of glasses, plates and cutlery made of compostable material, as well as an action to raise awareness of the consumption of water in the city.

The programme “Domingo à Tarde”, from RTP1, will be broadcast live, from the fair grounds of the Chocolate Fair.

The event is organized by the municipal company Loulé Concelho Global, and operates daily from 10am to 7pm. Admission is free.
