The island of Madeira has confirmed its first coronavirus case after 25 days without registering new infections.

The new patient is a man, age between 20 and 29 years old, without symptoms, who is from the central region on the mainland and landed at Madeira Airport yesterday.

This brings the total number of coronavirus patients in the archipelago since the start of the pandemic to 91, 80 of whom are currently cured of the virus.
