The National Museum of Archaeology, in Lisbon, is carrying out maintenance works, which will not affect visits, its director, António Carvalho told Lusa.

The works have an estimated cost of €44,514 and are aimed at the so-called "noble staircase", which gives access to the upper floor and the work offices, the Sala Bustorff, where various events are held.
The works should end "by the end of the year", according to António Carvalho.
The museum has the highest concentration of exhibits classified as "national treasure".
