Speaking to reporters at the inauguration of the works to expand and renovate its Research & Development centre in Trofa, near Porto, Bial CEO António Portela said that 25 of the 100 or so new scientists they want to hire will be recruited this year and in 2019.
He told the reporters that the aim of the new R&D team was to ensure innovation and the speed of developing new projects that guarantee the company keeps growing in double digits in terms of invoicing.

Bial’s revenue increased 17 percent in 2017 to €270 million.
